  • We would love to host your group. Please be sure to book with prior notice so we can confirm availability.

    We do not accept licensed buses.

    Also, please note due to our driveway, we cannot accept large coach style buses as they do not fit. We have parking available for small buses/ mini buses. Please check with us in your booking.

  • Whilst we are located only 15 minutes from Burnside, the Adelaide Hills can be quieter when ordering a ride-share at our venue.

    We suggest if arriving via Uber / Taxi etc, you arrange a pre-booked pick-up service to avoid the long waits and sometimes cancellations.

    Alternatively, on Fridays, the bus route drops you at the beginning of our driveway. Please check the timetable as we cannot guarantee.

    Locally, Des’s Taxis Service is available. Please arrange transport with them directly.

  • In keeping with our approach to wine, cooking and eating we focus on a combination of foraged, estate and local ingredients that are in season, express the Piccadilly Valley and Adelaide Hills region and frequently changes.

  • For all groups, we require all guests to participate in the Chef’s Selection Set Menu. This includes any persons 12 years and older. Dietaries may be accommodated for with prior booking notice.

    Please note, we call you after your booking request to take card details and a $30pp deposit. This charge also serves a no-show or last minute (48 hours) reduction in numbers fee.

  • We can cater to specific set dietaries, however it is essential to inform us if you have any special requirements as our menu changes frequently and seasonally. We cannot guarantee last minute requests.

    We plan & endeavour to remain flexible for last minute arrangements, and cater to specific dietaries along the general guidelines; nut free, pescatarian, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free.

    Any dietaries within this range are considered on a case by case basis as a specialist request & will be considered in your enquiry. We cannot guarantee advanced dietaries such as vegan, FODMAP, and specific dishes may be designed or substituted to accomplish general dietaries outside the available menu.

  • Whilst there is no specific children’s menu at this time, guests of 12 years and older are offered the Chef’s Selection in full. Guests in a high chair are not required to consume, guests under 12 are offered a smaller version of the Chef’s Selection.

    Please let us know if you require a highchair as we only have one, and if you require pram space as some of our restaurant is limited in space, please include in your booking notes.

  • We love dogs however we ask that dogs remain on leash at all times and your select a balcony / outdoor table.

    We try our best to accomodate however during summer season, our balcony may be fully booked. Best to book in advance and check with us.

    We cannot guarantee that other dogs may also be present and close-by so we ask that all dogs are well socialised, and are attended at all times. Please include this in your booking notes.

  • Yes, our entire venue is wheelchair accessible, including dedicated bathrooms. Our car park, lawns and event spaces are also fully accessible.

    Please let us know in your booking so we can reserve a suitable space and drop off/ pick up.

  • Congratulations! We would love to host you for your special event. We have hosted many birthdays, engagements, weddings etc and have newly opened our dedicated Pavilion space with accompany scenic lawn.

  • We are a small family boutique winery and only sell through our Cellar Door. Our Restaurant Hester offers both Greenhill Wines and Hester Wines (coming soon).

    Our online shop is coming soon but for now, please use the contact form to order for delivery or pick-up. Your best option is to come by Friday - Sunday 11-5 and see us in person.

booking policy

  • Thank you for booking with us at Greenhill Wines Cellar Door or Restaurant Hester.

    Please note that all tables are reservable for 2 hours, unless otherwise specified. We kindly ask that you arrive promptly to you booking or advise us if you’re running late via text message (0412274206). Any no-show guests are charged $30pp fee on the day of booking.

    Please note bookings of 5 or more guests (12 years +) are required to dine on our Chefs Selection Set Lunch menu $68 per guest.

    Please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking to ensure the chef has enough time to prepare specially prepared dishes for each dietary. Without advance notice we may be unable to cater to your dietary.

    Since we are an 18+ venue, we do not offer high chairs or specific set dining options for children in our restaurant, however anyone under the age of 18+ can participate in any menu items as per normal. All minors must be supervised by their guardians at all times & are responsible for the behaviour of their child, where if their children obstruct or disturb staff or other guests, their guardians may be asked to leave.

    Please note a 15% surcharge applies for all public holidays and a 10% surcharge on Sundays.

  • For the safety of guests and staff, we are closed on days when the fire danger rating is extreme or catastrophic. We will do our best to inform guests and bookings and credit any deposits and reschedule.

    Please check the ratings via the Bureau of Meterology prior to visiting during the fire season.
